CHRISTMAS is nearly upon us and there is nothing that quite gets you in the festive mood as a decorated tree.
Villages around Comet country were putting on displays this year to get people into the Christmas spirit and looking forward to the holidays, while raising cash for charity as a bonus.
From fairies to Mary’s, Christmas displays lined the walls of the churches or community centres frequented by local groups.
Mulled wine and treats were also a firm feature at the festivals and herald the countdown to the big day by children and adults alike.
